Pawlice were reassured today by a new communique from Da Bearz

It shows that Lady Conlin's kidnapped sock has received medical attention following the tragic loss of some of its threads.

The photo also apparently indicates a change in the pawsonel guarding the sock and the emergence of the shadowy figure known as Tim (seen in the left of the photo) who is already known to the pawlice as an unrepentant busker.

Pawlice are investigating the pawsibility that, apawlled by the cruel de-threading of the sock, Gabrielle (seen right) may have left the gang.

Meanwhile, Lady Conlin has announced that, against pawlice advice, she will be paying the revised ransom demand of "a LOt oV cASh" for the return of her beloved sock.
